DOUBLE SKIN PARAWING

PAIA

The double skin Paia parawing is optimized to achieve parawinging's full flight performance potential. Its forward-driving drift redefines comfort, range, depower, and upwind effectiveness, while still being able to retract and deploy.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PAIA DOUBLE SKIN

FORWARD LIFT

Unlike single skins that shift forward and back in the wind window with variations in lift and drag at differing angles of attack, the double skin’s internal pressure combined with the upper profile shaping create lift that consistently drives forward; a game changer in riding comfort.

LOW DRAG

The higher aerodynamic efficiency of the Paia’s double skin design contributes to its further forward window position, promoting higher upwind riding angles.

HIGH DEPOWER

The double surface’s internal pressure eliminates profile flutter and allows the wing to fly at the lowest angle of attack for the highest amounts of depower and riding range.

RAPID FILL

While single skins are unmatched in deploy speed, the large openings across the entire leading edge provide the fastest possible double skin deploy fill.

RAPID EXIT

The entire leading and trailing edges of the Paia are completely open, making the management of air exit during stow on par with single skin designs.
